My name is Joe.

I am a junior fullstack developer using Javascript based frameworks and libraries. Please scroll down a bit further to see some of the projects I have worked on.

Right now, this site is a bit of a work in progress, but I wanted to have a place where anyone could view my projects and credentials.

My Story

I have had a passion for web design as long as I have had a computer. I started off on Geocities (yes, I know this dates me!) and once I realized the features were too limited, I found a better way. As a teenager, I taught myself HTML and Flash (RIP), downloaded a FTP program, and anyone who needed a website for anything from my dad's baking business, a card game hobby, or a local punk band, I was eager to help. I started attending college at UW Waukesha and Youngstown State, but was unable to finish. After some time in other fields, I decided I was going to master what I loved so much and started web development again.

TME (Github) - A custom built testing framework using NodeJS
Pokedex Card Game (Github) - A React project to learn components and state
Natours (Github / Live Demo) - Mostly a front end project, but uses NPM for Sass packages. Sass and HTML.
YelpCamp (Github) - A full stack website using NodeJS, HTMl, and Bootstrap.
Movie Fight (Github / Live Demo / Unit Testing) - HTML/CSS/JS project using a free movie API to pull in information.
Hidash (Github) - A custom built version of Lodash to learn test driven development.
E-Commerce Site (Github) - A full stack website using SemanticUI, HTML, and NodeJS for a fictional ecommerce store.
Node CLI (Github) - Practicing command line tools made with NodeJS.
Watch It (Github) - A custom version of Nodemon (auto refresher upon save) using NodeJS.
Maze (Github / Live Demo) - A HTML/CSS/JS project to learn how to use Canvas.
Nexter (Github / Live Demo) - A fictional real estate business site to learn CSS flexbox.
Timer Widget (Github / Live Demo) - A simple JS timer where you set a time and it counts down with animation via CSS.
Trillo (Github / Live Demo) - A fictional resort site to learn CSS grid.
Drum Machine (Not yet uploaded) - An app that uses keypress events on your keyboard to play drum sounds. Uses JS.
Clock Widget (Not yet uploaded) - A clock with hour, minute, and second hand using JS.
CSSVar (Not yet uploaded) - A project to learn how to modify CSS variables with Javascript.
Secret Message (Live Demo)- Send encoded messages to your friends. Javascript/CSS/HTML.
